Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how LLR Properties (“TheGoldenResume,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects information about you when you visit or use TheGoldenResume.com and the related services we provide (together, the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Policy. If you do not agree with this Policy, please do not use the Service.
1. Who we are
TheGoldenResume is an online job-search tool that helps you discover job listings, tailor your resume to specific roles using automated and AI-assisted processing, and keep track of the positions you are pursuing. This Policy applies to personal information we process in connection with the Service.
2. Information we collect
We collect the following categories of information:
a. Information you provide to us
- Account information. When you create an account, we collect your email address and a password (which we store only in hashed form). You may also provide a display name or other basic profile details.
- Resume and profile content. When you upload a resume or complete your profile, we collect the information contained in it — which may include your name, contact details, work history, education, skills, and any other content you choose to include. Please do not include sensitive information you do not want processed (for example, government identification numbers, financial account numbers, or health information).
- Preferences and activity. We collect the search filters, saved searches, job selections, and application records you create while using the Service.
- Communications. If you contact us (for example, by email), we collect the information you include in your message.
b. Information we collect automatically
- Usage data. We collect information about how you interact with the Service, such as the pages and features you use, the jobs you view, and the actions you take.
- Device and log data. Our servers automatically record certain information, which may include your IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, referring pages, and the dates and times of your requests.
- Cookies and similar technologies. We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences (such as light or dark mode), and keep the Service secure and working properly. See “Cookies and tracking” below.
c. Information from third parties
Job listings displayed in the Service are aggregated from publicly available sources and third-party providers. This information relates to employers and positions, not to you. We do not purchase personal information about our users from data brokers.
3. How we use your information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the Service, including your account;
- Match you to relevant job listings and generate tailored resumes and related suggestions based on the content you provide;
- Save your searches, preferences, and application history;
- Respond to your requests and provide customer support;
- Monitor, analyze, and improve the Service, including its performance, features, and usability;
- Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, security incidents, and technical issues;
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
4. AI and automated processing
A core feature of the Service is the ability to tailor your resume to a specific job listing. To provide this feature, the content of your resume and the relevant job listing are processed by automated systems, which may include third-party artificial-intelligence providers that generate the tailored output on our behalf. This processing is used to produce your tailored resume and related suggestions; it is not used by us to make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you without a human able to review the result.
Tailored resumes and other AI-assisted output are suggestions only. You are responsible for reviewing everything before you use or submit it, and for ensuring that it is truthful and accurate. We do not guarantee any particular outcome, including an interview or a job.
5. How we share your information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as described below:
- Service providers. We share information with vendors who perform services for us — such as cloud hosting, data storage, security, analytics, and the AI processing described above — and who are permitted to use it only to provide those services to us.
- Legal and safety. We may disclose information if we believe in good faith that it is necessary to comply with a law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request; to enforce our Terms of Service; or to protect the rights, property, or safety of TheGoldenResume, our users, or others.
- Business transfers. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this Policy.
- With your direction. We share information with third parties when you ask us to or otherwise direct us to do so.
6. Cookies and tracking
We use cookies and similar technologies that are necessary to operate the Service (for example, to keep you logged in and to remember your theme preference), and we may use them to understand how the Service is used so we can improve it. Most browsers let you refuse or delete cookies through their settings; however, if you disable cookies that are necessary for the Service, parts of it may not work correctly.
7. Data retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, and afterward for as long as reasonably necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You can ask us to delete your account and its personal information by emailing support@thegoldenresume.com; we then delete or de-identify the personal information associated with it within a reasonable period, except where we are required or permitted by law to retain it.
8. Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect your information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration. Passwords are stored in hashed form. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential.
9. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal information, which may include the right to access, correct, update, or delete it, and the right to object to or restrict certain processing. You can:
- Access and update your profile and resume information from within your account;
- Ask us to delete your account and its personal information by emailing support@thegoldenresume.com, as described above;
- Contact us at support@thegoldenresume.com to make a privacy request.
We will respond to verifiable requests as required by applicable law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.
10. Children’s privacy
The Service is not directed to children, and it is intended for use only by individuals who are at least 16 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.
11. International users
We operate in the United States, and the Service is hosted on servers located in the United States and other countries. If you access the Service from outside the United States, you understand that your information may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in the United States and other jurisdictions whose data-protection laws may differ from those of your country. Where required, we take steps to ensure such transfers are subject to appropriate safeguards.
12. Third-party links and listings
The Service displays job listings and may contain links that lead to third-party websites (such as an employer’s own site or application page). We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those third parties. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party site you visit.
13. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page, and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised Policy.
14. Contact us
If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or how we handle your information, please contact us at support@thegoldenresume.com.
