Terms of Service

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old and able to form a binding contract to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet these requirements and that the information you provide is accurate and complete.

2. The Service

TheGoldenResume helps you discover job listings, tailor your resume to specific roles using automated and AI-assisted processing, and track the positions you are pursuing. Job listings are aggregated from public and third-party sources. We may add, change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time.

3. Your account

To use certain features, you must create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us promptly of any unauthorized use of your account. We are not liable for any loss arising from unauthorized use of your account.

4. Acceptable use

You agree that you will not, and will not attempt to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful purpose;
• Upload or submit content that is false, misleading, or that you do not have the right to submit, or that infringes the rights of others;
• Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with anyone;
• Access, scrape, harvest, or copy data from the Service by automated means, or attempt to circumvent any rate limit, access control, or security measure;
• Interfere with, disrupt, overburden, or damage the Service or the servers or networks that support it;
• Introduce any virus, malware, or other harmful code;
• Reverse engineer or attempt to derive the source code of the Service, except as permitted by law;
• Use the Service to send spam or unsolicited communications, or to violate any third party’s terms.

We may investigate and take appropriate action, including suspending or terminating your access, for any violation.

5. Your content

“Your Content” means the resumes, profile information, and other materials you upload or submit to the Service. You retain ownership of Your Content. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, process, reproduce, and modify Your Content solely as necessary to operate and provide the Service to you — including generating tailored resumes and related suggestions, which may involve third-party AI processing as described in our Privacy Policy. This license ends when you delete Your Content or your account, except for copies retained as required by law or in routine backups for a limited period.

You represent and warrant that you have all rights necessary to submit Your Content and that it does not violate any law or the rights of any third party.

6. AI-assisted output

The Service uses automated and AI-assisted processing to generate tailored resumes, highlights, and suggestions. This output is provided for your convenience and is a starting point only. It may contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies, and it may not be suitable for every purpose.

You are solely responsible for reviewing, editing, and verifying all output before you use or submit it, and for ensuring that any resume you submit to an employer is truthful and accurate. You must not use the Service to misrepresent your qualifications, experience, or identity. We do not guarantee any result, including an interview, response, or offer of employment.

7. Job listings

Job listings shown in the Service are aggregated from public and third-party sources and are provided for informational purposes. We do not create these listings, we are not the employer, and we are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of any listed employer. We do not guarantee that any listing is accurate, current, available, or legitimate, and we are not a party to any relationship, application, or agreement between you and an employer. You are responsible for evaluating any listing before acting on it.

8. Fees

The Service is currently offered free of charge. We may introduce paid features or plans in the future. If we do, we will present the applicable pricing and terms before you incur any charge, and any paid features will be governed by additional terms disclosed at that time.

9. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, text, graphics, and logos (but excluding Your Content and third-party job-listing data), is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for your personal, non-commercial job-search purposes, subject to these Terms. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

10. Third-party services and links

The Service may rely on third-party services and may contain links to third-party websites (including employers’ sites and application pages). We do not control and are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of any third party. Your use of any third-party service or site is at your own risk and subject to that third party’s terms.

11. Disclaimer of warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND ANY WARRANTIES ARISING FROM COURSE OF DEALING OR USAGE OF TRADE. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT ANY OUTPUT, LISTING, OR INFORMATION WILL BE ACCURATE OR RELIABLE.

12. Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL WE OR OUR OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, OR AGENTS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, GOODWILL, OR EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF (OR INABILITY TO USE) THE SERVICE, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (US$100). SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN OF THESE LIMITATIONS, SO SOME MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless TheGoldenResume and its officers, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to your use of the Service, Your Content, or your violation of these Terms or any applicable law or third-party right.

14. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time, and you can ask us to delete your account by emailing support@thegoldenresume.com. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or to protect the Service or its users. Upon termination, the licenses granted to you end, and the provisions that by their nature should survive — including ownership, disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnification, and governing law — will survive.

15. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You agree that the state and federal courts located in New Jersey will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in any court of competent jurisdiction. Any claim must be brought on an individual basis and not as part of a class or representative action.

16. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised Terms.

17. Miscellaneous

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service and supersede any prior agreements. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full effect. Our failure to enforce any right or provision is not a waiver of it. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. Headings are for convenience only.
